Hi there, I’m Leslie Soden!
I owned a successful pet sitting business for 13 years in Lawrence, Kansas.
I have owned dogs for 20 years, and even raised 3 of them from a puppy. I was a member of the local kennel club in Lawrence, Kansas, and competed with my min-poodle Sara in agility, obedience and rally. It was so much fun! I also helped to teach classes for the kennel club. That eventually led to me opening my own pet sitting business back in 2003.
After becoming a City Commissioner and then Mayor in 2017 in Lawrence, I transitioned out of self-employment in 2018 and worked for the University of Kansas. After the pandemic in 2022, I decided to do several long road trips to just get out and enjoy our gorgeous country. That led to me working seasonally for the National Park Service in the summer months. I spend the rest of the year in Apache Junction, Arizona with my father.
I have missed working with and loving on pets and learning their personalities, and just hanging out with them during the day. So now I am returning to pet care in my semi-retirement time of life.
Contact me and we’ll set up a time for an in-person visit, where I’ll meet you and your furry family members. I am a trusted and responsible person, and I can’t wait to talk with you about your needs.
